Little shrines at street corners

We see this little red shrines everywhere when we are walking on the streets in Hong Kong. People told us that they are usually located on 1st floor entrance to keep bad spirits from coming inside.

香港の街を歩いているとこの小さな赤い仏壇のような物があちらこちらとあるんだけど、地元の人が言うにはこれは建物の一階のドア付近につけ、悪い霊が中に入ってこないようにあるんだって。
