My neighborhood / dried food stores

My neighborhood is surrounded by dried food stores. They have everything from fruit, veggies, seafood, meat and weird looking creatures like gecko type thing. I heard that Chinese use them for making soup and healthy drinks.
The other day, Sally and I went for an afternoon walk and we found lots of squid being dried on a street.  Boy, they stink...

私の近所は乾物屋街で右向いても左向いてもひたすら見た事がない物がずらりと並んでいる。フルーツ、野菜、肉、海の幸、とヤモリみたいな不思議な生き物たちがいっぱい。
中国人はこれをスープや漢方薬に使うらしい。この間は散歩してたら、おじさんがイカを道路上に干してた。。。臭いったらありゃしない。
